Run the work

Keep the client, site and job together.

Whether you work on your own or run a team, R1 keeps the details with the work. Set up the client and site, book the job and carry that information through to the certificates.

  1. 01ClientWho the work is for
  2. 02SiteWhere you're working
  3. 03JobWhat needs doing
  4. 04CertificatesThe records of the work

Use the details again. Not your evening.

Reuse client and site information, keep access contacts close to the job and find the work history when you're back at the same property. Add the certificates the job needs without starting the customer details again.

Schedule the work. Assign the engineer.

Book appointments, assign one or more engineers and see who's working where. Keep the booking connected to the job, so site details and the work to be done are ready for the person attending.

Engineers see their jobs. Your office sees the bigger picture.

Give engineers their assigned work and office staff the view they need to coordinate it. Invite people, choose their access and remove or restore it when the team changes.

Access stays appropriate to the person's role. Professional approval stays with the person authorised to give it.

Built for site work

Keep working when there's no signal.

Plant rooms. Basements. Rural properties. Signal is not part of the job spec. Keep completing your certificates on your phone, with your progress saved on the device and synced to R1 when you're connected again.

01 / Mobile

Your work, ready for site.

Open your assigned jobs, check the site details and work through the certificate on a screen built for your phone. Capture the information where the work happens instead of writing it up again later.

02 / Recovery

Pick up where you left off.

R1 saves unfinished certificate work as you go. Recover your draft after an interrupted session and get back to the inspection without starting the entry again.

Electrical certification

EICRs, EICs and Minor Works. All with the job.

From condition reports to installation and minor works certificates, complete the right record on site. Keep the inspection, test results and supporting evidence connected to the work.

  • EICR: Electrical Installation Condition Report.
  • EIC: Electrical Installation Certificate.
  • Minor Works / MEIWC: Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate.

01Certificate work

Complete it where the work happens.

Work through the sections the certificate needs, from supply details and boards to circuits and test results. Keep the job and installation information close while you work.

Less typing. Your judgement. Use helpful suggestions for common entries, reuse suitable setup details and type your own answer whenever you need to. R1 helps with repetition, not with inventing inspection results.

02Observations and evidence

Record the observation. Add the evidence.

Add the observation, choose its classification and link the relevant board, circuit or inspection reference. Attach photos while you're there, so the evidence stays with the right inspection rather than loose in your camera roll.

EICR observations and supporting evidence.

03Review and issue

Check it. Approve it. Issue it.

Review the completed record, resolve missing information and record the required professional approvals. Generate the finished PDF, send it to the customer and keep the issued version attached to the job.

Certificate confidence

A certificate shouldn't just look genuine. It should be verifiable.

Protect the record behind the certificate, give the recipient a way to check it and make changes to the issued PDF detectable.

01 / Protected record

Protected records.

Certificate data is encrypted when stored in R1. Once a certificate is issued, later changes to the job don't rewrite what was issued.

02 / Record check

Scan the QR code. Check the record.

Every issued certificate includes a QR code and verification link. Open either to check its key details against R1's issued record, without needing an R1 account.

03 / Document check

Check that the PDF hasn't changed.

Issued PDFs carry a digital seal. Compatible PDF software can check the seal and show whether the signed content has been altered since issue.

A record your customer can check, not just a PDF they have to take on trust.

The online check confirms the R1 record. The PDF seal checks the signed document. Neither replaces the electrician's inspection or professional judgement.
